I doubt why doctor prescribed me these tablets and asked me to take two times in a day.

Brief Answer:
Yes they are generally safe.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I can understand your concerns.

The reason of your mild cramps can be early labor.

The reason your doctor has prescribed Duphaston and Duvadilan is to prevent early labor.

Duphaston prevents early labor as it is dydrogesterone which stabilises the uterine wall AND duvadilan is Isoxsuprine which causes direct relaxation of uterine and vascular smooth muscle.

Both these medication are routinely prescribed to women for preventing early pregnancy and premature delivery.

Both the drugs are safe in pregnancy and have generally no side effects to baby and mother IF taken in correct dosage.

However if you feel uncomfortable or breathless or have cough please stop the drugs immediately.

Also please keep a track of your pulse as this drug if taken in excess dose can cause increased pulse rate.

If at any time you feel that your pulse is getting more than 100 beats per minute EVEN AT REST, please stop the medicine immediately.

Otherwise i feel that it is necessary for you to take them in your current situation, at the dose he prescribed.
