What Causes Lower Back Pain?

default
Posted on Mon, 9 Feb 2015
Question: The only other problem is that I have lower back pains but not anything in my upper right section of the abdomen. I seem lately to have a bit more gassy (farting) problems then I have had before!
When I lay in the fetal postion as that is how I always sleep the pain seems to subside!

Brief Answer:
Getting a stool culture and Liver Function testing will help here

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir!

Thank you so much for writing back!

Since you now mentioned you have physical discomfort too,I think you should see a physician and get a stool culture done along with LFT.

According to me you should take tablets containing norfloxacin and tinidazole tablets for 7 days for relief.Start taking omeprazole tablets to subside your gas problems. Never take any antibiotic or prescription medication without discussing it with your primary care doctor first.

Hope this helps. If you have no further queries, please rate this answer and close this discussion.

Thank you Dr,
Assuming everything else is OK and that stool color is normal, no blood in urine and my back pain subsides when laying in the fetal position you dont think my liver is out of whack?
I have no vomiting, loss of weight etc!
I know..I know........ I should see a Dr to confirm this but I cant now due to lack of funds!

Brief Answer:
Cannot comment on your liver just by your stool's picture

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you so much for writing back!

You liver definitely has changes since you have a long drinking history. But for now it is difficult to comment anything oh your liver just with your stool's picture.A proper physical examination,LFT and an ultrasonography would confirm that.

Hope this helps..If you have no further queries, please rate this answer and close this discussion.
