What Causes Lower Back Pain, Occasional Leg Pain And Delay In Periods?

default
Posted on Fri, 5 Dec 2014
Question: Hi I'm 46 and I think I'm in perimenopause. Lower back pain, occasional leg pain and no period for 2 months. Had hot flashes last month but not this month. My back feels like it going to go "out". This lasts about a week then goes away and comes back. Just had a gyno appt negative pap. Could the back pain be from perimenopause? It's quite annoying. Thanks!

Brief Answer:
Perimenopause

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome to health care magic.

You are right. These are perimenopausal symptoms.

These occur due to deficiency of estrogen hormone. It is right time for you to start HRT .

This phase is also associated with calcium and vitamin deficiency. You need to start calcium and multivitamins supplement also. Back pain is possibly due to calcium deficiency.
