Posted on Tue, 25 Jul 2017
Question: I am losing my eye lashes and eye brows, especially the outer third. In addition I am sensitive to the cold and my finger tips will turn white for only holding a glass of ice water. They become numb in the grocery store if they have the ice chest turned very cold

Brief Answer:
About hypothyroidism treatment:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
The symptoms you described are suggestive for under active thyroid, meaning that the dose of synthroid is not the right one.
Once you start treatment with levothyroxine, TSH level should be checked every 6 months and the disease should be adjusted properly.
So, i would suggest to check TSH, Ft4 and Ft3 and adjust the dose of synthroid if needed.
Wish you good health!
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
