Brief Answer:
Need to stop rosuvastatin

Detailed Answer:
HI
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I can help you.
The symptoms of the query do sound like the side effects of rosuvastatin.
I would suggest stopping the medicine, for a few days, and if the symptoms improve, the diagnosis wll be confirmed.
However, Why was the medicine started? And what dose have you been taking?
Check a CPK test.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal

Thank you for your response to my initial query. It was remiss of me to not include other medication and history. I have taken 100 mg aspirin for many years, LercanidipineZanidip 20 mg daily, for a few months for blood pressure. Two weeks ago I had severe angina resulting in an angioplasty and two stents. I have been free of angina since. The hospital prescribed rosuvastatin 20 mg daily, and brilinta 90 mg twice daily. Also I have taken tamoxifen 20 mg daily for over 2 years for breast cancer. Is it possible that some of these medications clash, or react to each other? Also, what is a CPK Test, and where can it be done? Thank you so much. XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Needs following tests

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your response.
I would suggest testing CPK and sodium.
They are blood test and any lab will do the tests.
I would suggest that you stop the medicine.
Wait for the improvement.
Then restart the medicine at a lower dose and build up gradually.
Inform your cardiologist about the medicine change.
Best of luck.
Dr Mittal
