Posted on Wed, 1 Feb 2017
Question: My baby girl is 15 months old, she is active, she walks, she plays, she sleeps properly & even started talking also, problem is that she does not eat at all, not even a biscuit a day. She was colic. Till 6 months she was totally on breast milk & then we started given her semi-solid & puried food plus powder milk at that time she ate but vomit some part not all. Gradually vomiting problem was gone but her food intake started decreasing. Now she refuses every thing & milk too. We tried giving her all possible food in all possible ways but nothing worked. Now she just want mother milk & nothing else. Please suggest how to make her eat. Giving medicine is also a difficulty as she spill out sugar based syrups also. She is not gaining weight for last two months but increased in height.

Brief Answer:
Keep trying and have patience

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Can understand your concerns.

First of all you have to understand that every child is different so there is no need to compare to other children.

Some children require more attention and takes more time to eat so you have to keep patience.

You should give same food for 5 to 6 days, it takes time for the child to develop taste. For example, if you go to other place like other country, you also takes some time to adapt to the taste of food. Point is you have to keep trying and eventually child will take the feed. Give him all the food items that you eat. Give with other small children.
