Brief Answer: Suspect bleeding.Manage conservatively Detailed Answer: Hi.Thanks for giving an opportunity to address your query. According to me this is suggestive of bleeding- a possible side effect of mirena. It doesn't happen commonly, but I will be concerned if this is a prolonged and irregular bleeding. I would advise ultrasound abdomen and pelvis to ensure it is in the right place. Sometimes a short course of birth control pills or some supplemental estrogen can stabilize the bleeding if mirena displacement is ruled out. Hope this answers your query.
