What Causes Light Brown Spots On Thumb And Knee?

default
Posted on Fri, 17 Jul 2015
Question: I have noticed spots/marks on my body, usually dark to light brown. I've never had these before, they are new. No idea what they are/could be. I've uploaded two photos. One of the spot on my thumb & another of the marks near my knee.

Please re-upload the photos and give following details...

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

I understand your concerns.

So far, no photo is in. I could not see any photo in the other discussion you had with the other doctor.

Can you please resend the photos?

Can you please also report if you are also having pain locally? any history of trauma? any medication taken on regular basis?

Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Nothing worrisome;watchful waiting suggested&see changes....

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

Thank you for providing the requested photos.

I have gone through them and noted the spot around your knee.
To me, it seems that you have scratched that area days ago or perhaps hit to any subject around the house without feeling pain.
It seems to be under healing process for this time.

I advise to wait for a few more days until it is completely healed. If it is not causing any pain or any other problem to you; in such cases, watchful waiting is suggested.

Hope it answered to your query! Let me know if you have still doubts!

Brief Answer:
Still think not worrisome;wait and see; causes explained below...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

I have noted the darkened spot on your thumb.

Ok, then, I think it might be due to:
- being in contact with any chemical: detergent? hair dyer? any other new cosmetic product? bathroom solutions?
- any previous burning in that area : sunburn? or kitchen accident?
- also scratching or any allergy reaction you had in previous days?

I still think it is not worrisome. Still think to wait and see the changes in few more days. Do not apply anything locally, avoid contact with any source of chemicals.

Hope it cleared out your doubts!
