Posted on Fri, 7 Oct 2016
Question: my 16 year old daughter has a skin condition that pretty much covers her entire body including her head . sometimes they are very large and full of pus and they're very painful and other times and places especially her arms and her chest or legs they are just bumps that look like and feel like little marbles or something underneath her skin she's been to a dermatologist and we haven't got a real definitive answer they put her on Rifampin and clindamycin but these medications were only given to her for short periods of time because I guess they're bad for her. when she gets the boil kind of soars she is in a lot of pain all the time and her skin is absolutely devastating to her her dad has the same condition and does not use anything and it has not and pretty much told her there's nothing she can do about it to just deal with it we've been told there's a place in Salt Lake that we can go for it's a specialist but I don't know any more details I am desperately looking for any sort of medical help

Brief Answer:
Possible staphylococcal skin rash

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam

I can certainly understand your concern.

I have worked through the attached pics.

She possibly seem to have staphylococcal skin rash.

For this I generally prescribe oral pills of Amxoxyclav one pill thrice a day for 7 days to my patients. This can effectively treat the rash.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.

I would like to know your residential address , in order to guide you to appropriate physician who desks with such skin rashes in childrens.

Post your further questions if any.
