What Causes Joint Pain While Recovering From Typhoid Fever?
Question: Hello Doctor
My mother had typhoid from 23-27 th August accompanied by High fever and Extreme Body ache, She is 65.5 yrs old. She was on Proper medication which includes Multi-Vitamin and Multi-Minerals tablet course. The present condition is such that there are areas where she feels joint pain since that time, it sometimes increases and decreases. It is at Ankles Join, Knee Join, Shoulder Joint, Leg joint, primarily in all joints. She is not suffering from any other symptom and is not on any medication except Giloy (Ayurvedic mdication). We have read an article which shows the study conducted by XXXXXXX XXXXXXX that some strains of the Virual fever is causing damange to good cells in the body and for the medium term could cause arthritis and deformity in the long run. I am worried for my mother. Please suggest what should we do on an immediate basis. Please ask queries to frame proper response. Thanks in advance.

Hello,Thanks for choosing Health care magic. Now a days joint pain is very common after fever,you need not to worry about the same, do only hot fomentations, take pain killer like paracetamol and aceclofanac, and calcium for ten days.She will be all right, don't worry for long term.
