What Causes Jock Itch And Anal Itching After Having Sex?

default
Posted on Tue, 22 Jul 2014
Question: I am a married man who recently engaged in oral sex with a transexual, both giving and receiving. Both people wore a condom and unless there was condom failure, was no direct skin on skin contact. This occurred on Friday July 1st. I'm concerned about an STD/STI. Since the encounter I have experienced some jock itch and anal itching. Before the encounter I 'trimmed' my pubic hair and I do know that that itself may lead to itching. There appear to be some 'brown' spots on my scrotum, though they certainly could have been there before the encounter. Nothing is oozing. Nothing is raised or otherwise looks out of the ordinary. I also am in the middle of a taking a Z-Pak for a sinus infection.

Brief Answer:
could be a STD

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

The itching could be due to an STD like gonorrhoea or trichomoniasis. But you need to see a dermatologist for a clinical examination and evaluation to help reach a diagnosis and further management. As for both of these your Z-Pak will not work.

Hope i have been helpful.

Dr. Ashish Verma
