Question: I have low v-d25 .. My levels were 19.. I began getting sunlight w a mild 800 dose D3... Now im having a complete body itch/tingle... Its been 3 weeks now since getting 30 mins of sun about everyday and i am wondering why has this itch/tingle began to happen ( itch started a week ago)... It tends to happen at the end of the day as the sun sets or an hour or two after eating... It goes away after 30 or so minutes.. Just had an allergy test and everything came back negative.. I have giberts syndrome and my last panel came back fine( ill attach the results) i feel exhausted trying to figure this out..

Brief Answer:
Vitamin D

Detailed Answer:
Sorry to learn about the itching problem after sunlight exposure.

In general, I do not insist on my patients who have low vitamin D levels to go out in the sun much because of various reasons, accidental sunburn being one of them.
Moreover, taking robust doses of vitamin D supplements is safer and more effective way to achieving normal vitamin D levels in the body. Obviously, this requires finesse and experience. Typically, it is not challenging for an endocrinologist to achieve this.

When I see someone like you in my practice, I typically order the following blood tests in addition to a detailed physical examination:

CBC (Complete Blood Count, also known as Hemogram; includes Hemoglobin, WBC and Platelet counts)
HbA1c (Glycosylated Hemoglobin = your 3 month glucose average)
TSH

None of these tests require any fasting and can be done at any time of the day.

You will be best served by consulting a Dermatologist in-person who will have the opportunity to examine you.
