What Causes Itching Sore Sensation On The Back Of Neck?
Question: I have an itching sore sensation on the back of my neck…no skin rash or outbreak. Have had this for 8 weeks…shat is going on?

Thank you for your reply. There is no visible break in the skin. But there is an area about one inch wide that burns and itches. I had a herpes vaccination in July of 2014.
I have no other illness and no other symptoms.
I take valacyclovir 50 mg for herpes, citalopram 40mg, and levothyroxine 112 mcg. A baby aspirin, preservation, and prilosec. Would any of these medications cause this reaction. I have been taking all these medications for a long time…years!

I don't think you need to continue the anti heretics for so long
They may in fact be causing the symptoms
If possible, avoid the medicine.
Why r u so worried about herpes?
I think you may try a course of methycobalamin.
