Brief Answer:
Scalp itching not improving with cortizon, possibilities.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic,
Scalp itching could be due to a lot of conditions. It could be due to dandruff/seborrhoeic dermatitis, head lice, scalp psoriasis etc. Diagnosing the condition and treating it is very important.
So I advise you to consult a dermatologist for a close physical examination for accurate diagnosis.

Long acting anti-histamine like cetrizine 10 mg or Loratadine 10 mg at night will give relief from itching. If you have dandruff a shampoo containing Ketoconazole thrice a week during bath will help. These are over the counter medications.

Hope this helped,
Take care.
