Question: Is there another way to check for allergies besides getting all the pricks? My daughter is 21 and within the last year when she eats anything with eggs in it her throat gets itchy and kinda tight and she hates needles. She takes benedryl after she gets that feeling and it eventually gets better but there are alot of things that contains eggs that u dont always know of when ur eatting it and is there anything she could take to stop the effects before it starts?

Brief Answer:
Can ask to get tiny scratches instead

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

I understand your concern.

If your daughter gets an allergy reaction every time she eats anything with eggs, then this is indicating she is allergic to eggs.

Confirmation should be by allergy testing by pricks. Please let her know the pricks are so tiny she won't feel them, the same as vaccine or less fastidious feeling.
If she doesn't like pricks, can ask for scratching test, is the same, difference in method of applying.

We want to make sure she is allergic only to eggs or to other allergens.

Hope it answered your question.
