Brief Answer:
fungal infection and treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.
I have read your query.
I understand your concern.
I would like to know for how long you have taken fluconazole tablet?
Are you using topical antifungals also?
Usually Candidial balanitis responds to treatment in two weeks of weekly fluconazole course. Alongwith topical antifungals like clotrimazole cream/ miconazole are also advised.
If your wife is also having fungal infection and is not being properly treated, you may acquire the infection again.
One very important reason for candidial balanitis is Diabetes Mellitus.
If you repeatedly getting fungal infection or its not getting cured in expected time then you should get your blood sugar levels done.
You should visit your doctor so that he can examine you and order tests for you.
You can share my opinion with him. I
hope it helps.
Stay healthy.

Brief Answer:
it is a sign of improvement of infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Welcome back.
I have already gone through all the conversation you had with our respected doctor.
We here work as a team so it hardly makes any difference. Still if in future, you want to talk to a particular doctor, you can tag the query with his /her name.
I usually advice my patients to take tablet fluconazole and repeat it after a week for complete cure. You said you completed the course, so I just wanted to ask how many tablets your doctor has prescribed you and you have taken.
If your rash is subsiding and bumps are gone, it indicates that the infection is getting improved.
The disappearance of fissuring is also a good sign.
But you should continue the topical antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream for atleast 2 weeks for complete cure.
Afterwards , apply clotrimazole containing dusting powder so as to avoid reinfection.
Keep the area clean and dry.
Avoid sexual activity till complete disappearance of the rash .
As I said, Blood sugar evaluation is a must.
I hope I am able to solve your query.
If you have any further query, you may ask me.
Stay healthy.

Brief Answer:
yes you can take medicine again

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Welcome back.
It seems that you have got reinfection as a result of sexual contact. Most likely your wife is also having candidial infevtion.
In such scenario I also advise both partners to take antifungals course simultaneously.
Yes you must also take the course again.
There is no harm in taking it again.
I hope it helps.
Take care.

fungal infection and management

Detailed Answer:
Hello. It is prolonged antibiotic course that may cause fungal infection. Otherwise also females have high predisposition for getting fungal infection of genitalia.
You may visit your doctor so that he can examine your wife also. Else partner treatment is always advisable.
Its better to abstain from contact till infection is completely cured.
