What Causes Irregular Period, Nausea, Vomiting, Headache, Breast Tenderness And Abdominal Pain?
Question: My girlfriend has a problem of irregular period. Period usually occurs on 9th of a month. On this December 9th she felt that she is not going to have period. According to her, period may come probably on 24th of December. On this 10th December we had an unprotected sex (4 times through out the night) and i didn't ejaculate the semen into the vagina (i am not 100% sure). In the morning (after 12 hours) she had taken unwanted 72. , On 15th of December and Today morning (17th of December) she had a short time bleeding and also feeling nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, boobs tenderness. I highly need your advice and suggestions. I have listed my queries. Please reply me (along with your suggestions ) to get rid of this problem as soon as possible.

2. There is absolutely no way to predict the date of her next period . She already had irregular cycles, and could not predict the date of the next period. Taking Unwanted 72 will further make the cycles irregular.
3. There is no way to know if she is pregnant, it is too early to know. Please take a pregnancy test around the 31st of December to confirm this.
4. Unwanted 72 is more than 95 % effective in preventing a pregnancy if taken within 24 hours of unprotected sex, however if ovulation has already occurred, it is less effective.
5. The bleeding is due to withdrawal of hormones within the pill.
6. Sperm generally survives for 24 - 48 hours inside the female genital tract, but reports have shown it might be upto 3 - 5 days sometimes.
7. Yes, on the date suggested.
8. If pregnancy is confirmed with the test, please revert to me then so that I can suggest the steps of medical abortion with pills. Right now nothing more is to be done. Just use protection if you have sex again.
