Brief Answer:
Need more information.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

I can understand your concern.

There are so many causes of irregular period like PCOS,stress, weight changes, hormonal disturbances, thyroid disorder, infection, polyp and fibroid.

As you had irregular period from last 6 months, in my opinion your problem needs evaluation and should begin with ultrasound abdomen and pelvis.

So you should consult your gynaecologist and get yourself examined and investigations done to rule out the causes.

Which medicine did you take previously to regulate your menses?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Good luck.

Regards
Dr.Richa

Brief Answer:
You can take progesterone for withdrawal bleeding.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Nice to hear from you once again.

You can take progesterone for 3-5 days for withdrawal bleeding after consulting your treating doctor.

When you stop taking it you will get your period in 3-4 days.

You can take medroxyprogesterone after consulting your doctor from day 16-21 days of each cycle for 2-3 cycle to regulate your menses.

But in my opinion before taking any treatment you should rule out the cause of irregular period.

Hope it is useful.

Regards
