What Causes Irregular Menstruation After Abortion?
Question: I had miscarriage in March, Before misccariage i had normal 28 day cycle.
After miscarriage my first menstrual cycle came in 5th week(April). It was a normal cycle of 5 days, however till now i have not got my periods (In May). It is 35th day today.
Shall i see the doctor or is it normal to have a cycle change after miscarriage.

1) Most women get their 2nd period within 4 to 6 weeks from last date. Irregular late period is quite common for initial 1-3 cycles following miscarriage. Hormonal imbalance and mental stress are the main associated underlying causes.
2) I can suggest you to await another 1 week to get back your natural period. If you don't get it by this time, you should consult with your treating gynecologist to induce period by progesterone pill.
3) Until then, take healthy balanced diet with IRON supplements, do some light exercise for physical fitness, avoid mental stress by regular meditation or yoga. Need sound sleep and maintain genital hygiene properly.
