Posted on Fri, 23 Dec 2016
Question: I am having forehead since 6 days. It is not continuous but occurring alternate day. I visited three Doctors because not getting proper treatment. As per first doctor due to blood pressure low this forehead pain is there. Also I checked my eye and there is increase in cylindrical number by 0.25. So my question is since I am taking medicine since six days along with ORS powder why this forehead is still there?

Brief Answer:
multiple reasons for headache..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Headache has multiple causes. Unfortunately a specific cause / reason cannot be isolated without physical examination and investigations. I assume this headache is not severe. If it, can you grade it on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the most severe pain you ever had)?
Are you running fever?
Do you have nausea, vomiting, nasal congestion, blocked nose along with this headache?

If the pain is not severe and you do not have any other symptoms, I will consider starting pain medicines - tab dolo 650mg twice a day for 2-3 days. You should get better soon.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Infection perse likely...

Detailed Answer:
In wake of new information provided, the headache, the dullness, laziness as well as feeling of 'not fresh' are more likely from an infectious spell.

I am not sure why you say not viral; but viral infections are commonly known to present with all these symptoms. It will spontaneously resolve. You may continue the medications prescribed for a few days more and you should feel alright.

In case the symptoms persists beyond a week, please get back to the doctor to check for other possibilities.

Fear is part of normal body response influenced by hormones within the body. As long as those fears are not affecting your daily activities as long as those fears are not irrational, lasting for long time I feel you don't need to address them medically. If however the fears are irrational, persisting for longer duration and affecting your functional abilities, please get it checked by your physician.

Hope this answered your question. Let me know if you need clarifications.
