Question: My 4yrs old girl getting fever on and off since 3weeks... Blood routin is normal except esr levls 50, urineWBC count is 6-8 epithelial cell is 4-8

I have gone carefully through your query. ESR is a non-specific indicator of illness. Since other blood parameters are normal, the cause is either viral or due to causes like enteric fever. Since it is going on for 3 weeks I would insist you to get a widal test done. Urine WBC count is not high but in case of suspicion, treatment with antibiotics may be given. I would have liked to check whether culture is positive, and if so, what the colony count is.
