Brief Answer:
Renal stone a possibility

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
The pain in the right lower back, heavily scented urine is suggestive of urine infection or stone in the renal tract.
Repeated urine infection can be due to renal stone.
I will suggest her to consult a urologist to get proper examination, investigations including urine examination and ultrasound and get the further treatment accordingly and timely.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
