Question: Hello Doc, I hope you are well?

I have been unwell and progressively getting worse since 2006, when I took a short course of antiretroviral drugs - I was exposed to a girl who Had HIV and It was suggested to take the three week course.

Since then - my immune system has been going crazy and I have had inflammation all through my body.
My symptoms include;
Joint Pain
Acid Reflux
Inflamed stomach
Inflamed Lungs
Squamous metaplasia in the lungs
Heamoptasis
Lowering O2 sats - evry low now - down to 90
Low ABG
LOW P02 on ABG
Enlarged Spleen
Poor Memory
Blood on pillow in mornings
LARGE abdominal pain at left lower ribs just left of midline
Immune diseases - Psoriatic Arthritus, Possible Lupus
Clotting issues
Weight Gain
Low Immunoglubulan - IgG1 and IgG3 - now on replacement IVIG
Skin Rash

I know it is proabably not due the Antiretrovirals because it was such a short course - however I need to check as it all started after that - prior to this I was an athlete

The pills were given to me in Thailand and were bright orange and had to be refridgerated

Brief Answer:
Before any furthur treatment you need testing

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic. I see that you have been exposed to someone with HIV and you have received a prophylactic course of Antiretrovirals.

We need to test your CD4 count at this point and make sure that your liver is functioning normally. I would strongly recommend that you get the following lab work done.

TC, DC
CD4 count
LFT
Zinc Levels.

I assume you have had your IgAMEG levels all tested since you are on replacement IVIG for IgG 1 and 3 subclass types. The Zinc is the only immune test i saw that has not been done. So lets check that out and make sure those levels are normal as well.

I hope this helps,

Vinay
