Brief Answer:
Normal blood pressure

Detailed Answer:
Hello, madame! Thank you for your question and welcome to HCM. I am Dr. Meriton and I will try to address your concern.

Worldwide, the blood pressure values standardized as normal are: systolic 100-139 mmHg and diastolic 60-89 mmHg, while heart rate is 60-100 beats per minute, as normal. By the figures you provided, you are on a normal state. If atenolol (a beta-blocker acting both on blood pressure and on heart rate, by lowering them) gave you lower then the normal figures mentioned above, the discontinuation of atenolol is a good choice. If these figures go higher then normal, then I recommend that you discuss with your can discuss with your cardiologist, the possibility to switch to another agent from the same class from an another class of drugs. Right now, my opinion is to assure you that there is nothing to worry about.

I hope I was of help. Feel free to ask me again, should you have any further question regarding this topic. If not, I kindly ask you to close the discussion and rate the answer.

I wish you a good health and best regards,
Dr. Meriton
