What Causes Increased Blood Pressure Levels After Getting Up?

Question: When laying down my blood pressure is normal but as soon a I get up its goes to 150/103. Whats going on? Is stays elevated when I'm up and as soon as I lay down it goes down to 120/78

Dear Sir,

When you are laying your muscles are relaxed, your vessels are relaxed as well and your blood pressure decrease.
When you are standing there is an increase in your muscle and vessel wall tone. Which increase blood pressure.
In healthy adults it gets normal after some minutes, but if your blood pressure still 150/103 after 15 minutes of standing, it means you have some problems with the regulation of your blood pressure.
It can be caused from different reasons; smoking, obesity, heredity, unhealthy lifestyle, etc

I would advise you to follow healthy lifestyle, and if after 2 months your blood pressure will be the same, I would advise you to see your doctor for full cardiology check-up
