What Causes Hot Flashes After Drinking Red Bull?

default
Posted on Thu, 13 Oct 2016
Question: I am trying to look up symptoms that begin with feeling hot all over. I first noticed that after I had I drank a 16oz Red Bull. I also got dizzy and I'm always so tired which is why I drank the Red Bull. I am an alcoholic who hasn't had an oz of anything now for 20 years this past July. I'm morbidly obese mu doctor says but I still work at my own business at a fairly consistent 16 - 1 hours each day. I sleep with a c-pap. I do like to drink water and never touch coffee. I do try to stay hydrated, tho a friend thinks I need to drink more zero caffeine/sugar things. I don't like artificial flavorings tho. I thought the first thing I should do is stop drinking the Red Bull, so I did that today.

Brief Answer:
Re bull, caffeine reduction advisable

Detailed Answer:
Dear Patient,

red bull and caffeine may cause hot flashes, so first reducing this is advisable. You can drink water or tea, no need for artificially flavored drinks.

If this persists a check of thyroid hormones is also an Option to rule out overfunction.

Best regards
