What Causes High Body Temperature Post Hysterectomy?

Question: I don't know how this works. Had hysterectomy three weeks ago (except for ovaries) have been running 100 degree temperature ever since. Surgeon not concerned (no temp at his office) (temp with my old fashion mercury thermometer). I feel like that is a long time

The mild low grade rise in temperature with no other symptoms like vaginal discharge, bleeding, chills and rigor, pain abdomen, etc is likely to be a reactive rise in body temperature after the surgery. This can happen due to stress related to surgery, mild viral infection or due to mild hormonal changes in the body.
Such a mild fever is not worrisome. You can continue taking Ibuprofen as and when required. This will subside on its own.
