Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

Normal body temp of healthy baby is 97 to 100.3 degree F. Her body temp 101.7 degree F is suggestive of FEVER. She needs proper treatment.

I suggest you to contact with local pediatrician to get examined properly and take complete prescription. It will be more worthwhile.

I can suggest following medicines according to given information and age. However, you should consult with local Pediatrician for clinical examination and complete prescription.

1) Paracetamol (CALPOL) Infant Drops - 3 drops 6 hourly until fever subsides OR as advised by local doctor.

2) Antibiotic (Amoxicillin + Clavulunate) - Syrup MOXCLAV DS - 2 ml 8 hourly or Thrice in a day. It will help to get relief her from cough and respiratory tract infection.

Answered by Dr. Dr. Soumen Patra (56 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
1.5 ml twice daily.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for your additional query.

CEFOPROX 50 can be used for cough if prescribed previously. It can be taken as 1.5 ml TWICE daily.

However, MOXCLAV DS is more effective in the treatment of respiratory tract infection.

Make sure these dosages are reflected in a proper prescription.

All the best and good luck.

Regards,
Dr S Patra
