Brief Answer:
Transvaginal ultrasound

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam,

It is not good to bleed heavily and this often especially when you are lactating because you already need a lot of energy.

I would suggest you to get a transvaginal ultrasound done for ovarian size and endometrial thickness.
Most common reason for such a bleeding is usually an ovarian cyst or increased endometrial thickness due to lack of ovulation (which is quite common in post pregnancy period).

Please write back with the results of the test for further evaluation.

Till then take tablet tranexemic acid 500 mg thrice a day for 3 days to stop bleeding after discussing with your treating doctor.

All the best.
