What Causes Heavy Periods?

Question: Hi since having my 2nd child in January this year I have been suffering from heavy periods and this month been passing large clots. I've just finished my period after 7 days and I feel faint and sick when lying down standing and sitting there's no relief and feel tired all time . I had bloods checked a few months ago and ultrasound and everything came back clear . Also my stomach is aching and low back pain what can be causing this as my own doctor is no help and just tells me take pain killers. I'm not on pill and am single too thanks

Hello, I understand your health concern.
As you told me that the blood work and ultrasound are both normal can you tell me your hemoglobin level and endometrial thickness on ultrasound.
If both are normal then there is nothing to worry and I will put you on oral contraceptive pills which will control bleeding amount and number of days of bleeding as well.
But in case endometrial thickness is increased and hemoglobin is on lower side then you will need endometrial curettage (simple opd procedure).

Hi thanks for your reply how do i get the results from my doctor as they dont give me levels and just advise its ok and no action needed ? When i asked if i could have a copy the doctor just said i just needed to ring up and would telle the same i feel lole im getting no where with them
