Brief Answer:
As below:

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. The following conditions need to be ruled out:
a. Ear wax build-up: By a simple Ear examination with an Otoscope.
b. Fluid buildup behind the ear drum: By examination and a Tympanogram.
c. BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo):The most common cause for vertigo.
d. Sinusitis: This may require plain Sinus CT if medication does not help.
e. Cervical Spondylosis: With neck X-rays and a Color Doppler Neck vessel study.
f. Gastritis, Reflux and a Cardio-Respiratory check-up.

2. Get an opinion form an ENT Specialist, a General Medicine or Chest Specialist. Remember to get your blood pressure checked and get a set of routine blood investigations are done.

3. If you have unsteadiness and not spinning vertigo, it is less likely to be related to the ear. It will be better to discuss medication after the above examinations and results of the investigations.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
