What Causes Heartburn, Diarrhea, Vomiting And Constant Pain In Upper Abdomen?

Question: I thought I may be having heartburn but now have diarrhea and vomiting. I am having constant pain in my upper abdomen just below my breast bone. I have used a heating pad and earlier took a ranitidine tablet, 150 mg accident reducer but the pain remains.I am sweating now. It fulltime perhaps flu type thing but I don't know. What do you think or advise?

Hello. Thanks for putting your query in HCM.

From the description you have given that is presence of diarrhoea and vomiting and abdominal pain and flu like symptoms suggest that you are having infection of gastrointestinal tract.

For this I will suggest you to get your stool examination and complete haemogram to confirm the infection. And if it is there then take a course of antibiotic like ofloxacin 200mg twice a day for 2 days. Meanwhile take enough liquid and electral powder to prevent fluid and electrolyte deficiency. Also take a course of probiotic and mild antispasmodic like drotavarine.
