What Causes Heart Palpitations During Pregnancy?

Question: My wife is experiencing heart palpitations. It started whenshe was in the rear seat of car which i was test driving it for speed. She is 34 weeks pregnant. Once in a while she feels racing of the heart. Can you advise.

Palpitation in pregnancy can be

1) Anxiety (most common and likely in your case). It will go away after some time if this is the first time it occurred and especially while you were speeding.

2) Anemia: this will cause recurrent palpitation and not just once.

3) Heart disease: Does she have history of any heart disease ?
