Brief Answer: To rule out Ischemic heart disease Detailed Answer: Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day This pain which is not associated with exertion and especially in the morning possibility of oesophagitis secondary to Gastroesophageal reflux is to be considered more likely cause. But even then Ischemic heart disease is to be ruled out by getting 12 lead ECG and TMT stress test. It's always advisable to rule out possibility of Ischemic heart disease as the cause of pain in any left sided pain. I would suggest you to consult your Physician and get the test done. Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you. Take care Best Regards Dr T Shobha Deepak MBBS, MD
