What Causes Headache?

default
Posted on Wed, 23 Apr 2014
Question: I have a history of Brain Anuerysm Clipping done 7 years back. I have had headaches since then. So I go for a Scan every 2 years. I wanted to get an MRI Angiogram done. I wanted to know if my clip is MRI compatible?? I have never done an MRI before. In my OT materials in the billing of my surgery I see the material 'CLIP ANUERYSM XXXXXXX STD. PERM. BAYONET'. In the operation report also I see Bioset 12 mm clip.

Brief Answer: You can go for MRI and angiogram. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for posting your query. I have noted your details. You can safely go for MRI and angiogram of brain, as the clip material is MRI compatible. This would help in getting a detailed information about brain and its blood supply, that may help in planning the treatment for headaches. I hope my reply has helped you. I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
