Question: I had been on lisinopril 40 mg I had been taking in daily. I recently felt that I was better so I discontinued the medication.
recently I have been waking with headaches my blood pressure is running 145/80 with a pulse rate of 82 should I start the medication back up?

I understand your concern. People with high blood pressure should take their medicine continually, which means that you will feel better with medication, but this doesn't mean that you are cured. Your better feeling means that your medicine works. My suggestion is to try with a lower dose of 20mg per day.

You should make a diary of your blood pressure for two weeks and wright them down to see if this doses is enough. You can measure your blood pressure in pharmacy.
