What Causes Haematoma On Thighs After An Injury?

Question: Was in a car accident and suffered a I multiple fractures pelvis.After 4 weeks am left with huge hematomas one on each side of my upper thighs..they hurt and burn. cannot sleep on either side, are hard and warm and don't seem to move even though have been applying warm compresses. Anything else I can do and when are they going to leave?? Desperate.

Brief Answer: Description below. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your query. It seems that haematoma might get fibrosed or calcified.It will take few weeks to months to get disappear. Beside applying warm compresses over it, You can take Tablet Motrin 1 tablet with food as and when required (upto 4 tablets daily) to reduce pain and inflammation. In case there is an acute pain, a sudden increase in swelling and raised temperature then consult your doctor for a direct examination to rule out any infection in the area.
