What Causes Haematoma On Leg After An Injury?
Question: I fell 10 days ago and have caused a large haematoma on my lower leg. I went to A&E where they did xrays and ruled out fractures. Said to rest and see how it goes.
It is still a little swollen which makes walking and bending knee difficult/painful. It's also still very very black/blue. The bruising is now moving down to my foot/toes. The area around my knee and shin is very tight and now itchy and then burning if I scratch.
I'm resting my leg as much as possible and elevating it during nighttime.
My question: is the itching and burning normal or does this signal another issue?
