What Causes Green Color Bowel Movement?

Question: Hi Doctor, My 9 months old daughter having grren color motions daily of 3-4 times.This is happening from last 10 days,this is due to teeth coming or any abnormal.I changed cerelac food from cerelac rice to cerelac XXXXXXX cherry from last 15 days whether this is causing to green color motion

Brief Answer: MILD STOMACH INFECTION Detailed Answer: Hi DEAR Green color motions are indicator of some mild stomach infection. Such infection at this age juncture are quite common. Baby starts moving around, hand to mouth activities are too much. Unwashed fingers are frequently being put on the mouth by the baby causing frequent infection. Stool culture with sensitivity will give the exact bug involved in this upset stomach. and accordingly with culture report child may be given some stomach specific antibiotic to get the relief. Hand to mouth hygiene to be maintained strictly. Weaning to be stressed; Apart from cerelac, try to add more of self made different variety of semisolid like dal rice,soups etc Hope the query is answered. Dear Sir, My wife also maintain hygenic conditions in my house ,will kept him also clean and my baby will not keep any thing in to mounth expect hands which is always clean, we are also using furazolidone oral suspension,furoxone and bifilac (pre and pro biotic sachet) for stomach from last 2 days but still there is no improvement.Please give any suggestion to avoid green color motion.
