Brief Answer:
Suggestive of Gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome to HCM.

I appreciate your concern for the endoscopy report.

Gastriesophageal reflux disease occurs when stomach acid or, occasionally, stomach content, flows back into your food pipe (esophagus). The backwash reflux irritates the lining of your esophagus and causes inflammation of the lining of the lower end of food pipe and the upper part of the stomach (fundal gastritis).

It is a common problem in every age group and in persons who consume spicy food & alcohol

Do you have the following problems?

1. Any heartburn or difficulty in swallowing? What is its duration?
2. Does this problem aggravate during night time after sleep?
3. Do you smoke or take alcohol or hot and spicy foods?
4. What is your body weight?

Looking forward to receive the requested information so as to guide you a proper treatment plan.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Gastroesophageal reflux disease can be effectively treated with medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hi & Welcome back.
Thanks for your valuable information.
Glad to know that you are not a smoker or alcoholic or non-vegetarian.

First of all this is not a serious problem & it can be cured by the medicines.
You need to have some life style modifications to overcome the acidity related discomfort resulting from inflammation of the food pipe and the stomach.

I would advise you to take a proton pump inhibitor like Pantoprazole along with Domperidone one hour before the major meal of the day once daily for at least 4-6 weeks.

And of course, you will have to give up certain things like

1. Avoid hot n spicy foods particular at dinner instead take curd rice or juice
2. Do not sleep immediately after having the dinner, go to your bed after 2-3 hours following the dinner best policy should be "sleep early n get up early"
3. Stress should be avoided
4. Elevate the "head" end of your bed
5. Avoid chocolates, carbonated soft drinks, etc.

If the symptoms of heart burn are not controlled, I would advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for further evaluation like lab tests such as Urea breath tests, etc.

Hope to have answered your query.

Wishing you best of your health.

Brief Answer:
The prescribed medications are found to be very effective.

Detailed Answer:
Hi!
Welcome back.
Thanks for your compliments and the reply.

Pantodac & Adiza are proton pump inhibitors which suppress the stomach acid production and hence are prescribed for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disorders, dyspepsia and peptic ulcers.

Please continue to take the medications for at least 8 weeks along with certain life style modifications as I have suggested earlier.

Take care.

Best regards.
