Question: Hi! Since Good Friday I had a flu/cold and localised pain at the back of my head radiating to my left temple. I have had a CT scan and was told that my sinus was blocked with pus and mucus have had ten days of anti biotics and there is no end to the pain to the back of my head. Would you know what it is?

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms

Fullness in paranasal sinuses associated with infection can cause pain radiating to head. In the absence of high grade fever and neck stiffness there is no cause for concern.
I would suggest you the following which will definitely help with nasal congestion and paranasal infection
1. Steam inhalation : using a electronic steamer, steam inhalation for 15 to 20 minutes each session thrice a day will be helpful. At the end addition of Eucalyptus oil and inhaling steam for other 1 to 2 minutes will be helpful.
2. Nasal decongestants drops: Xylometazolime Nasal drops will be helpful in relieving Nasal congestion
3. Combination of Paracetamol and caffeine will be helpful for headache.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Take care
