What Causes Frequent Urination And Pressure During Bowel Movement?
Question: I feel pressure to poop even after I have already gone to the bathroom and don't think I need to go. This has been ongoing for 3 days now. Also have been urinating more frequently. It seems to bother me more when I am standing.
Brief Answer:
check your prostate
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
3 days is not a long time for any symptom to draw any conclusions but in a patient like you I would have asked for an ultrasound scan of the prostate. An enlarged and inflammed prostate may cause urinary tract symptoms and sometimes it may also cause symptoms from the area around the genitals, lower abdomen and the area between the genitals and the anus. A urinalysis may provide additional information.
If the symptoms persist then further investigation might be necessary.
Kind Regards!

Thank you,
I have no pain in my abdomen or genitals, Just the pressure felling of having to poop. Could this be caused by exercise training but I will check with my Dr about my prostate. I had a colonoscopy two years ago and everything was fine. I had this same feeling when they biopsied by prostate 10 years ago. There was nothing there as they were checking on a noggel I had.

Brief Answer:
10 years is a long time...
Detailed Answer:
You're welcome!
So it's already 10 years since the last time you checked your prostate... This is a long time, particularly since you have some urinary tract symptoms. A urinalysis, ultrasound scan and digital rectal examination wouldn't go amiss.
A normal colonoscopy makes intestinal disorders less likely but keep in mind that irritable bowel syndrome cannot be excluded and feeling like having to poop is one of its symptoms (*other symptoms include abdominal discomfort, diarrhea or constipation or alternation between diarrhea and constipation that's relieved with defecation or passing gas).
I doubt that exercise training may cause this symptom unless you're using a bike to train. Sitting on a hard surface may affect the prostate and cause symptoms sometimes.
Kind Regards!
