What Causes Frequent Urination And Burning Sensation While Urinating?

default
Posted on Wed, 29 Jul 2015
Question: Hi I am a 52 year old female who am wondering if I may. Have a Urinary Tract infection or possibly a yeast infection. When I urinate it just does not feel normal. I have to urinate more frequently and have some mild burning pain when urinating. No itching. Just sort of more of an urgency to urinate. Not a very high level of pain.

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

Your symptoms sound suspicious for a possible early urinary tract infection. Typical symptoms include increased urinary frequency, urgency and also discomfort including sometimes burning with urination.

if the symptoms persist I would recommend that you contact your primary care doctor who may request that you submit a urine sample for analysis. An antibiotic may be helpful if this is confirmed to be a urinary tract infection.

Your symptoms do not sound suspicious for yeast infection at this time.

Thanks again for sending your question.

Sincerely,

Dr Galamaga
