Brief Answer:
No other testing is required and after treatment there is no concern

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. You seem to be having a severe urinary tract infection if there is burning urination with passing blood in urine since last 7 to 8 days.

2. The culture test report shows that the organism isolated is Escherichia coli which is a bacteria that is commonly found in the gastrointestinal system. This bacteria causes over 85 percent of urinary tract infections.

3. The cause of such infections at your age might be use of public toilets and not washing hand before touching the penis, not maintaining proper genital hygiene, low immunity individuals like those having diabetes and unprotected sexual intercourse.

4. Since you are having the infection after one year, therefore it is a new infection and has nothing to do with the infection which happened last year. No more testing is required since infection is confirmed and treatment has started.

5. The medicine Zancocin OD contains ofloxacin which will treat the infection. If you take medicine for 10 days then it will be treated. Please drink adequate water and fluids and pass urine regularly to flush the system.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
Please find details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. Since there is visible fluctuation in the sugar levels recorded, I suggest you get HbA1C test done to know the exact sugar level. This is a three month average of sugar level and will provide the best answer in your case and this does not depend on the timing of the test and any meals. Infection might cause slight variation in daily sugar levels.

2. There was severe infection and that is why blood appeared in urine. This is because of bacterial toxicity and shedding of red blood cells in urine.

3. After taking treatment for 10 days, you can get a repeat culture and sensitivity test done. This will confirm that your infection is treated and gone.

4. Urispas is for pain relief and if there is no pain then you might stop taking it. Please continue to drink lots of water and pass urine regularly.

Hope your query is answered.
