default
Posted on Fri, 16 Dec 2016
Question: I have a frequent urge to urinate and my bladder/abdomen is bloated and uncomfortable. I do not have burning when I urinate. This started the day after having inter course.
I also had a bad headache and nausea two nights ago.
I started taking cipro yesterday but I do not sense any change.
Can you please help me?

Brief Answer:
As below

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

Take a lot of fluids.
It sounds like a urinary tract infection.

Get a urine microscopy and urine culture test done to confirm infection and to know which antibiotic to start.

Taking a urinary alkalinizer such as Citralka at night will be helpful.
Cranberry juice will help too.

All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.
