What Causes Frequent Stomach Pain With Vomiting?

default
Posted on Tue, 8 Dec 2015
Question: My six year old grandson has frequent bouts of stomach aches with vomiting. No other symptoms and the vomiting is random. His pediatrician says it may be related to stress. We have ruled out lactose intolerance, allergies to certain foods. He does not appear to be stressed about school. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this?

Brief Answer:
Could you please upload the stool reports using the facility on upper right

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. It is hard to comment properly without a thorough and careful clinical examination, but the commonest and most likely cause of his symptoms could be gastrointestinal infection which he could get due to improper hand hygeine. I would insist you to share with me the last report of stool microscopy, although stool might not always demonstrate signs of infection.

Although stress is indeed a possible cause, I would consider it last.

Regards
