Question: Hello Doctor, my Daughter XXXXXXX is 20 months old and passing stool 8-10 times a day, it is not loose motion but normal stool. everytime she eats something even very small portion. she passes stool. can you please suggest some medicine. My contact no. is 0000

Let me assure you that what you describe is normal. There is a phenomenon called gastrocolic reflex which may make the child pass stool after each feed. In some children it persists for sometime. But it is normal and nothing to worry about. You can give ORS (oral rehydration solution) to make up for the fluid and salt lost but nothing more needs to be done about it and no medicines need to be given.
