Brief Answer:
sinusitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Sinusitis often causes rotten smell which only the person suffering it can smell.
Here is how you should go about it

1. It has to be treated with antibiotics , it usually five amox with clavulunate twice daily for 5 days
2. The other close differential is gingivitis where your gums are inflammed however in gingivitis there is no mucous
3. The best person to approach would be an Ent specialist

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back

Regards
