Brief Answer:
History is too short. Could you give me a few details?

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for being here on Healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar, a neurologist, here to answer your query.

I have gone through your history and medication details and summarise your clinical history as yourself being 'Hypertensive' with 'Atrial fibrillation' on the said drugs-Blood thinners(probably warfarin or acitrom-you did not mention),flecainide, metoprolol and acetaminophen(for now).

'Fluttering sensation on left top of head' needs some details here-
1)Since how many days it is happening?
2)Episodic or persistent? Are you continuously having it?
3)If episodic-what is the frequency of episodes?
4)Any other focal deficit like limb weakness, facial weakness or abnormal eye movements?
5)Any history of seizure or loss of consciousness?
6)Any history of headache?

It may or may not be clinically significant. Please give above asked important details and I shall be able to answer your query better.

Brief Answer:
It is not likely a fixed intracranial pathology/disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.
You are welcome for the day.

I read through your history details.Short lasting episodes of this fluttering sensation do not appear to have a fixed pathology or disease in your case.It is possibly just a manifestation of 'Tension type headache' , 'Anxiety' or 'uncontrolled blood pressure(BP)'.

Taking into account, your medical history of'Hypertension', 'Atrial fibrillation' and drugs history of 'blood thinners',my cause of concern was to care for whether you might be having any history suggestive of a stroke(as atrial fibrillation increases the risk of ischemic stroke and blood thinners increase the risk of hemorrhagic stroke). But your clinical history, which is of short episodes of the symptoms instead of fixed deficit,is against the diagnosis of stroke.

Some mental relaxation exercises like 'meditation' and 'Yoga' may help.Drugs like 'amitriptyline' may be of help. Please get a proper BP monitoring done and see if it is controlled or not.
Still,if symptoms continue ,I suggest you to get examined by a neurologist to screen for any abnormality.TAKE MEDICINES UNDER YOUR PHYSICIAN'S SUPERVISION ONLY.

Hope this answers your query. If you have follow-up questions,I shall be glad to answer else, please close the thread-rate it and write a review.
