What Causes Fluttering Feeling And Discomfort Under The Ribs?

Question: I have this sensation of "something" being under my right rib, but no pain. I only feel this when sitting. There's no pain on pressing. My urine is normal, no infection. No fever, no upset stomach. I go every morning, so I dont think it's constipation. It just feels like there's something under my right ribs.

This feeling started yesterday afternoon. I don't feel a bump or anything sticking up, so no there's no reducing on pressing. No nausea/vomiting. No, it doesn't pop out. No reduced apetite or lightening of pain. Son is 10 years old, so isn't related to that. I have two compressed vertebrae in my lumbar spine, and have had back pain from that for a year. I haven't had any tests done regarding this.
A couple of times I have felt like a flutter in the area where i'm feeling this "something". I'm regular in the mornings.

Provisional Opinion and Suggested steps-

Based on the facts of your query,I would suggest you to have check up from Surgeon,after getting the USG of that area.

As you are asymptomatic almost,its only the pre-peritoneal fat with sometimes flutter of the gurgling bowels below it.

It seems to be simply reducible pre-peritoneal fat,which gives feeling only when you are sitting.I will not confuse you with the technical possibilities,so as to keep this topic for your surgeon to work out on your next visit.
